Stone Crab, Stone Crab, Stone Crab!
At dawn on Saturday, October 15 all local Stone Crab boats will begin the hard work of pulling traps. The opening day of Stone Crab Season is always the most anticipated day of the year as it sets the pace of what the 2011/2012 season may look like.
Stone Crab meat has a delicate texture and a snowy white color.
The meat holds a sweeter taste with a salty finish. Enjoy the meat dipped in a
Keylime Mustard sauce made to complient the fine flavors.
Stone Crab is only caught in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
Anticipate Stone Crab Claws to be available the evening of October 15
at Pelican Point Seafood, Inc. and Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill, Inc.

Fish Local, Buy Local, Eat Local ...
in-house. Imports are giving the locally caught seafood a run for their money by offering lower quality product at a much cheaper rate. When you choose to purchase imports in takes away from on already dying local fishing industry. At Rusty Bellies, we take great pride in offering local seafood to support a community that made its roots through commercial fishing. The prices may not compare to the imports, but the quality of the seafood reigns supreme. Help us in creating more local jobs, and contiuing the support of our local fishing industry!!
